Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction.- John C. Crosby
I had the privilege of attending my first writers conference of the year, this weekend. I was nervous at first but the warm smiles, that met me at the door, melted my heart. I met writers who were also filled with the desire to share God’s love and mercy to the world around us. What better way to do that than to learn to wield the power of the pen more effectively.
Kristen Heitzmann shared with us that because of the digital age, what we write will last forever in cyberspace. I had not thought of that before. Hearing that made what I am attempting feel even more weighty.
I must admit that I personally have much work to do towards applying what I’ve learned. But through the instructor’s tender loving care and gentle prodding, they have shown me that the journey was never meant for me to travel alone.
