I love when my kids look at me with big glassy eyes and say, “Thanks Mom. You’re the greatest.” It makes me feel like a million dollars. There have been so many times they have cheered me on. My kids are getting older and a little wiser each day. Today, I made them ice cream cones. I never put ice cream on cones because I’m not good at it. I never have been. The cones were on sale and so I bought them. Needless to say, it was a disaster. My middle child said he couldn’t eat his, so he put it in a cup. I could see by the expression on his face that he was a little let down because he was looking forward to it. All the cheers and the pats on the back from them went to the back of my mind and all I could say was, “I’m not perfect.” That’s it in a nutshell. I’m not perfect. I started to laugh to myself because I have a sneaky suspicion that they already knew that and yet they love me anyway. Wait until they see what else I can’t do.
